President's  Message

"A new beginning"

Yes, it's a new beginning of an old phenomenon after its inception more than 35 years ago. Better known as Pakistan Physician Society (PPS) and now with the same acronym but a new name of Pakistani Descent Physician Society, we have a new constitution ratified by your clear majority last December. As you all know, the society has applied for a 501c3 status (for tax exemption) which is expected to be granted in the next few weeks, thereby giving us an opportunity to become even more effective in rendering useful contribution to various academic, social and cultural platforms.

Folks, any forum is generally a reflection of it's participants and hence I would like you to become more involved to step up to the challenge of taking this society to a new level of social and academic excellence . I have always felt that PPS should be a sounding board for the entire community and with its new status of tax exemption this will become even more relevant. In my humble opinion the society should consider catering to not only it's physician membership but as duly allowed in it's constitution to the select non physician professionals and the business community.

Lastly, I would like to emphasize the key value of team work and unity  for the success of any project; we cannot afford anymore to stand divided and we have to put our act together and give our very best to achieve success.
